Security companies working at construction sites and warehouses noticed increase in burglaries over the last few months, materials and tools had been stolen from workplaces, multiple attempts of thefts are reported, thefts incidents are reported more often, confronting and stopping thieves from entering sites start to be a routine job for security guards.

Theft from construction site or suppliers it is not new problem, the new is “ it is happening more than before“ one of warehouse managers said.

In general materials, machinery, tools are the targets of thieves, thieves even manage to have vehicles and equipment to remove pallets and lifting 3 tons stuff in some bizarre incidents.

• Install lights at dark areas, increase lights at the weak areas
• Update your site surveillance, ensure limited people can access the footage and cameras monitor,
• Update and check your alarms, it is important to keep valuable materials and tools out of sight,
• Make it a routine for employees to cover all materials and equipment end of work day, try to cover your temporary fence and panels, sure nothing like having security guard presence over night and weekends, or have security patrols presence, insure you have good insurance at place, deal with a reliable insurance company
• If you can install speakers with radio on overnight at your site prove to be good way too
• If your site is a huge, then you need few security guards over night and in weekends.
